connection poor in other rooms of my house.

Hi been on my vf fibre for a week now and i have having a issue of connection drop in rooms of my house even though i have 2 or 3 bars of wifi.

Its perfect in living room but move to the bathroom or bedroom and i get dropouts.

I live in a bungalow and my router is centrally placed in living room i never had this issue with my old sky router so i guess maybe the vf one is poor build ? or could it be the beamforming thats the issue didnt have that on my sky router.

Any ideas

Thanks .

Hi @vcx20

Are you still experiencing the same issues when moving into different rooms?

Sometimes there can be black spots where the router can't reach to. It seems like you've done the basic steps such as changing the channel and centrally placing your router, it may be worth contact the Broadband team on Live Chat for further advice.

Thanks

It seems sorted now had to buy another longer RJ11cable and move the router closer to the kitchen and bedroom i guess this router is not as good as my old sky one shame really as everything else is fine.

It would be good if you offered a more better quality one for a small fee anyways jobs done now.

There simply is no "good" WiFi router supplied by any ISP. Some are better than others, but when compared to more premium brands, they are all terrible.

I took the plunge, disabled WiFi on my router and instead purchased a LR WiFi device from Ubiquiti. It wasn't cheap, it cost around the £100 mark.

However this one single device gives me a full WiFi signal to every corner of the house. 3/4 of the way down our back garden and out the front to the road - as we are pulling up outside our house in the car our phones are connecting to it.

I can take this device and use it whichever ISP I'm using. Very much recommended.

Sound good as it still aint perfect.

Does someone have a email address were i can email them and get my username and password going to try my old sky router always had excellent coverage using that.

If you want your PPPoE username/password you'll either need to call them or use Live Chat. No Email support for that kind of request.

You won't be able to use your Sky router as it's locked and you can't enter your vodafone details into it.

Ah that sucks thanks for the heads up on that one.
