iPhone 6 upgrade shambles!!!

Was told by upgrades that I would have the phone in 2-4 days. As I am on holiday I said I would accept this as long as this was the case as I use my phone for work and will need it next week.
Thought I would check the status of my order this morning only to find that I will not get the phone until 11th December at the earliest!
What a bloody shambles. When I have gone onto live chat all I get is a brick wall and not an ounce of an apology or some help.
Foolishly I asked if they would credit my account so that I could go and buy a cheap phone to keep me going. I may as well have been talking to a brick wall.
Am I right in assuming that others have been experiencing the same and will I really get my phone when they say so?

Delivery status says In Stock but told they don't have any so it's a lie, mind you its a CRM system so how can we expect it to be accurate - lol
I've been a long standing VF customer with 4 plans running on multiple devices but rapidly loosing the plot with them now and looking at alternatives

I think the tracker must be, in part, a placebo, as my tracking status still says I am at Stage 2 waiting for stock, although my phone has arrived and is on my desk. I got an email at 6.30 this morning saying it had been despatched, and arrived a few minutes ago via DPD. I got a text at about the same time with the DPD tracking information. It took a month precisely from ordering to delivery (64gb Iphone six, gold).

In fact you wont be able to help me
I spoke to a very nice lady in person today who checked with he warehouse and to be told my order had been placed on hold as my pre pymnt had not been made? Why could no one over the past two weeks communcite this to me?
My current order has been cancelled and a new order made and the phone will be with me tomorrow, no delivery charge applied same conditions as my orgonal order from a tarif perspective.
I checked and in fact my pre payment has been made was taken on 3/12 so I will have to get that back frm VF asthey have taken it twice now!!
Why is it that VF service people are not armed with the right tools and information to help its customers? I do feel sorry for these contact center staff they can only do what they can with the inforamtion provided to them 😞

My order has now just gone to 'order accepted'. This is 3 weeks after I ordered the thing. I was also told that they would reduce the cost of the phone from £79 to £29 and then add a credit of £29 onto my account so that the handset becomes free.
Can't see any of this on my online account and can see how this one is going to pan out.
So not only have VF (edited in accordance with House Rules) refusing to pre order me a nexus 6, my iPhone order has been a shambles.
