You may have topped up October/November but how long has it been since you made a chargeable activity? PAYG SIMs have to be kept active or will get disconnected from the network for non use.
Try making a chargeable activity, it may work. If there is still no service, try topping up a small amount, followed be a chargeable activity.
Try the advise on the thread below and see if it helps.
Network Issues
If there are still problems, take the phone and SIM into a Vodafone Store, the staff will be able to check the SIM and phone.
