zgg invisible shield sold instore

i bought a zagg shield before christmas 2016.

first time i dropped my phone it cracked and failed to protect my screen which also cracked.

i utilised the  zagg warranty. it cost me £7.00  upfront postage to receive my replacement from ireland. the replacement was broken on arrival. I contacted them and they sent one out free of charge. I had to send the failed  original one back to them in their padded envelope. Another £4.50. This was by royal mail 1st class post.

They are saying it never arrived and have charged my debit card a further £24.99, the full cost of the shield which i only paid £20.00 for at the vodafone shop in the first instance. Despite sending 2 emails i jave had no joy with our irish cousins. so my replacement...under warranty has now cost me £36.49 pence.

What an absolute rip off. I would urge people to think twice before buying this product and vodafone should be looking into their behaviour.

My personal experience with screen protectors has been positive albeit I choose not to buy from Zagg as they are pretty expensive. 

I've purchased glass tempered and the film types over the years. 

My lastest is the Samsung Official Film Protector for my Samsung Galaxy s8. 

The plus point with Zagg is their warranty but yes they do have their T&C's which Vodafone have no direct control over.

Personally when I'm sending something and I want peace of mind I send it Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery depending on the item and it's value.

Yes that introduces a little more cost to me but it adds peace of mind and forms of tracking of the item. 

Vodafone are just the reseller so one can't say it's for them to challenge Zagg.

It's unfortunate that the item was lost in transit. 

Zagg I'm sure will have various forms of 'Contact Us' options to pass on your experience with their customer services.

@pascott If your package failed to arrive at its destination, you may have a claim against Royal Mail - according to this, the maximum compensation for 1st class mail would be £20 plus the postage.
