Hi everyone
I live in apartment and my flatmate has EE broadband which is very weak so i decided to get my "own" superfast broadband from vodafone but guys from vodafone told me that the installation is not possible because my openreach box is full. What exactly it means? is there anything i could do about it? can i extended it maybe? if yes then how? My flatmate is not going to upgrade or cancel the contract with EE.
Thank you for any help
Kind regards

Depending on the construction it's not always possible to have more than 1 telco providing services to apartments/flats. It may be that the "box is full" relates to the fact that there is no additional provision available to your apartment! The other time when you'll hear similar info is when you are trying to get added to a cabinet that no longer has any capacity - all its lines are in use!

Hey @karnifextm
It's great to hear you're looking to join us for Broadband!
It is possible to have two different providers at the same address, you would need an engineer to install you a new master socket at the property, usually this would cost £60.
However, if all of the spaces are taken in the Cabinet that will be why the Broadband isn't available at the moment. You can keep an eye on our Website here to check when a space becomes available or you can check out our awesome deals on Mobile Broadband here as that wouldn't require a fixed line 😊

How can I check it if it's possible to install extra master socket? Do you think concierge could help?

It's usually going to be the building management company that you need to contact. There's a whole host of problems that you could end up facing, and the cost could be prohibitive!

We would be able to see if a new socket installation was possible at your property via contacting Openreach's system when processing the order. However, we'd only be able to do that once a space becomes available in the cabinet 😊
