Hello... We switched our fibre optic ISP from Talk Talk to Vodafone recently. Since the switch over, I cannot for the life of me get our existing Google WiFi (3 point mesh system) to work.
We definitely have active internet connection as the router which was sent from Vodafone gives us WiFi. But we don't want to use this as it doesn't extend across the house well, which is why we have the mesh system.
With Talk Talk, we plugged one of the Google WiFi points (to act as router) straight into the modem on the wall with an ethernet cable. I've tried doing the same here and it says "no internet access". I've also tried plugging it into the Vodafone router with a LAN cable. It says the same thing.
I've tried factory resetting the Google WiFi point. I've tried resetting the modem. I've tried calling Vodafone who gave me a PPPoE username and password to add to the Google setup, which I added. I've tried deactivating the modem firewall.
Nothing works. I've tried calling Google who are also stumped. I have absolutely no idea what to do next but two things I know - 1) the Google mesh system DOES work as it was working immediately before we switched ISPs and 2) we DO have an internet connection as it works if we use the Vodafone router.
Any ideas, please, anyone - as I am losing my mind trying to figure this out and have spent at least 5 hours on it so far. I'm not technologically savvy so I have no idea what other questions I might need to probe Google/Vodafone on or what other settings I could possibly fiddle with to make this work.
Many thanks for any help you can provide!!
