More internet issues again today... thought I would paste the log on the off-chance someone reads it!
Key Observations from wan log below (according to AI so it must be correct):
The WAN connection alternates between UP and DOWN states within seconds, indicating unstable network behaviour.
The wan6 interface is responsible for managing internet connections that use the IPv6 protocol (the newer internet addressing system, which supports a vastly larger address space compared to IPv4).
Messages like "Interface 'wan6' is enabled → disabled → now down" and "link connectivity loss" indicate that the router is struggling to maintain a stable IPv6 connection.
PPPoE is a network protocol commonly used by ISPs (Internet Service Providers) to manage internet connections, especially for DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) broadband services. It combines the Point-to-Point Protocol (used for direct connections) with the Ethernet protocol to provide secure, authenticated communication over a broadband network.
The pppoe-wan interface is responsible for creating and maintaining the internet connection between your router and the ISP.
These observations suggest that internet connectivity issues do not relate to WIFI or the devices connected to it, but the connectivity between the Vodafone router and the internet.
Is there a way to disable IPv6 protocol on the Vodafone Business router?
Vodafone Business Broadband is very disappointing and not fit for purpose due to continuous drop-outs during Teams calls / RDP sessions with clients.
Anyone think I have a case to ask for my money back, cancel the contract and go elsewhere?
