Hi I hope som one can help.  I'm having issues with work VPN.  Keeps dropping

Out.  Our IT department asked me to ENABLE PORT CLAMPING.  They sent me instructions based on being a BT customer which is no help.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to get this done?

Many thanks

Lee

Hi @Needtherapy2001, a couple of questions for you, are you on a personal or a business broadband package? Do you have a Static IP address active? What's the package that you have, is this one of our new Pro Broadband services? You might be able to set up the port forwarding by doing the following:

  • Go to vodafone.connect or 192.168.1.1
  • Enter the password - vodafone
  • In the top right, change this mode to expert mode
  • Go to the Internet tab
  • Click on Port Mapping on the left hand side
  • Click on the plus option
  • Select the device, enter the protocol you need and the type.
  • Hit save and then apply

Let us know how you get on 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me

I'm on personal broadband fftp no fixed IP address.

The BT instructions were simple so will go back to IT tomorrow

The password for the THG3000 is definitely not vodafone. It might have been on the previous router, but that has not been supplied for over 2 years. The actual password (on the THG3000) is printed on the bottom.
