Broadband speed not even meeting minimum gauranteed speed for seprfast 2

I recently got superfast 2 internet which has 67 mbps speed but i have never even got 30 mbps speed. Most of the times it don't even match minimum gauranteed speed of 27 mbps. Both ethernet and wifi goves maximum speed of 25 mbps. Have tried to chat with agents but it is of no use. They initially told that for first 10 days speed will fluctuate. But now still after 13 days speed is very less.

Hey @nevneil62 If we're unable to get your speed up to your minimum guaranteed speed, of course we'd allow you to cancel your service without any early termination fees. We'd much prefer to get this sorted for you though. So we can access your account, check your minimum guaranteed speed, check your sync speed and get you back on a more stable connection, pop us a private message through one of our social channels. When our digital assistant greets you, simply select 'Get started' followed by 'asked to DM' and you'll be passed on to one of our team who'll be more than happy to help. If you add a link to this thread and your Community ID to your message, this will help prevent you repeating yourself.

I did this 2 weeks ago and an agent had me plug my router into my master socket and leave it there for 72 to hours after this time I had to move the router back into its usual position in the house (my master socket is in a narrow hallway right behind the front door and was in danger of being smashed by the door every time someone came in the house) Nobody from Vodafone contacted me to let me know what was happening next so I messaged again last night and a different agent wants me to do the same all over again which at the moment I dont have time to do.

I got a phone number from my local Vodafone shop today for broadband help which I will try when I have some time off work ( [Removed] of with Vodafone doesn't even cover it at the moment)

Did you not make a note of the sync speeds whilst you were in the master socket? (hopefully the test socket, otherwise there has no much point doing it.)

If you have your router connected to a standard phone extension you can always expect lower than optimum speeds.

Leaving it in the test socket is so they can monitor the connection (although I doubt they do), the improvements will be obvious immediately, assuming there are any. Try it again in the test socket, but take a note of the line specs from your current position and from the test socket and post them here, like this:

Line Quality

  Downstream Upstream
Current Rate79999 kbps20000 kbps
Maximum Rate82933 kbps27716 kbps
Signal-to-Noise Ratio4.3 dB10.6 dB
AttenuationDS1 9.2 dB, DS2 22.5 dB, DS3 35.1 dBUS0 2.0 dB, US1 15.5 dB, US2 25.3 dB
Power12.8 dBm4.6 dBm
CRC Errors in last 9400 minute(s)12458

How do I get this information ?

You log in to the router at 192.168.1.1 (the password is on the bottom of the router).

You go to Status & Support, DSL Status and cut and paste the info into a document (or take a sceenshot) and then post them here for us to have a look.

Time to hold my hands up and eat a bit of humble pie 🙄, following an openreach engineer visit this morning it turns out it was an issue at the cabinet. More than happy with my speeds now 😊

If you can get possible 56 to the house you have a fault inside.... If you're using main box then either the supplier is throttling or you have a wiring problem.

So confused with all the copy and pasting

First thing keep to the facts and stop copying and pasting

Second thing is stop rebooting your router .you will make it slower .

Third thing. What has happened so far in a short easy to read message

Fourth.  Tha stats above is saying you can get 56 but the DLM has lowered the speed for some reason.  Ie fault . Crosstalk etc or rebooted the router to many times in a short period

Router rebooted 3 times in 3 months. Speed is always 44. With new contract speed has always been 44. Speed, download bandwidth, used to be 40% higher until this new contract. Previous supplier SSE, then Vodafone(its a laugh really) so I know you can go faster. Before that it was BT. This newest contract is the most expensive and is by far the slowest I've ever had. Your online chat guys either bluff, lie or stonewall and do nothing. The online chat system also does not send transcripts out despite them being requested obviously so there's plausible deniability when challenged.
