Just got FTTP and everything is working fine off the VF router. Phone lines are plugged into the VF router, VF router's WiFi is switched off. 3rd party Mesh has been switched to Bridge mode and plugged into the VF's ethernet port.
However I am shocked at how feature poor the VF router is. e.g. There are no Parental controls at all. I know I can get rid of the VF router and plug my own Mesh router into the Openreach ONT, but what about the Landline.
Are there any 3rd party routers in the market that have a telephone socket at the back to allow the home phone to be plugged in?

I have tried with and without SIP ALG and no joy. But will all the tweaks and suggestions. I think I should start from scratch by factory resetting the HT801. Will give it a try. Thanks.

So after doing a factory reset on the HT801 and following Luciftian post, it showed up Registered on first attempt. I can now get incoming calls. But not able to make outgoing calls. I hear a dial tone, once I dial a number, it just gives my an engaged tone.

Did you set the SIP User-agent as Vox 3.0 exactly? No extra spaces or anything?
Check the port forwarding - 5065 and 10000 both udp

Yep. Only space is in the middle.

Setting these options to No did the trick. Outgoing calls are now working.
Use P-Access-Network-Info Header: No
Use P-Emergency-Info Header: No
Use P-Asserted-Identity Header: No

@shamrock99 Glad you got it working.
I just wanted to double check if you had the "Use P-Asserted-Identity Header" set to NO when you could not make outgoing calls, or if you set it to NO when you also changed the "Use P-Access-Network-Info Header:" and "Use P-Emergency-Info Header:" to No?
This is how mine is set up and it seems to work.
Use Privacy Header: | Default |
Use P-Preferred-Identity Header: | Default |
Use P-Access-Network-Info Header: | Yes |
Use P-Emergency-Info Header: | Yes |
Use P-Asserted-Identity Header: | No |
The crucial one should be
Use P-Asserted-Identity Header: | No |
BTW, are you also on OpenReach?

@Luciftian Your post was a great help to get me started, along with a good old factory reset!!
So I think I got a bit carried away with those header settings. They were originally set to Yes. After a bit of googling, I set all 3 to No. Once it was all working and still working after a couple of test reboots of the HT801, I didn't want to tempt fate and touch anymore settings!!
But after reviewing your screen grab, I did notice you only had Use P-Asserted-Identity Header:No set on your config.
I'm also still using a dynamic IP address, but I have requested a static IP from Vodafone. I am on Vodafone Broadband Fibre 2.

Hi All,
I mentioned some while ago that my phone service with Vodafone VOIP was working ok but has anyone found that after a while (could be days) that the service became unregistered?
I’m using a Grandstream HT02 ATA with dynamic IP, stun server, not full fibre setup. . Even after a re-sync and change of WAN address it remains registered until it doesn’t?
The only way I can re-register is by re-boot of an Alien Router which has port forwarding on ports 5065, 10000 but no fancy firewall features that you can change as all hidden away in the firmware.
Any ideas but noted , I’m using settings in the main from those posted on here, for the HT 802 ATA?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

@AlienPJ Hi, we have had a Grandstream HT812 going for the past month without any issues.
We are on OpenReach full fibre, with a static IP, no stun server.

@AlienPJHello, I have the Grandstream HT801. It has been 3 weeks and all is working fine so far. I followed Luciftian post to get mine working. I did nothing with firewall rules or port forwarding, but I did enable SIP on my router.
@LuciftianI did match the below settings to yours and can confirm outgoing and incoming calls are still working
Use P-Access-Network-Info Header: Yes
Use P-Emergency-Info Header: Yes
Use P-Asserted-Identity Header: No
