I have just changed to Vodafone Broadband Digital Voice, how do I connect the extra telephone sockets without using the router as the router is upstairs and I want to connect a telephone socket that is downstairs.

Thanks :Smiling:

You can't. Just use cordless phones around your house with the primary phone connected to the router.

Thank you, do I need a certain cordless phone or will any one work as I have seen on other messages that a DECT phone is required.

I doubt you'll find any cordless phones that aren't DECT nowadays.

But you can still use your telephone extensions.

It just requires cabling the TEL socket on the router to the extension wiring.

It's known a VRI (voice reinjection), try googling it.
