cant ring home land line from my mobile

I tried to ring my home land line  from my mobile    it rings then cuts off 

   land line is fine    it has listed all my calls to it  but did not ring   

    and I can ring other landline numbers  and I can ring my mobile from my land line    very confused

Hi @blott, thanks for your post, this does sound very strange! Are both the landline and the mobile on the Vodafone network? Have you ever been able to call your landline from your mobile?

just the mobile on Vodafone     I was out this morning tired to ring home , it rings once clicks and hangs up  ,

  rang another landline number and it was fine,   got home tired again  same thing   and the home phone is taking other calls okay

Which company provides your landline? It would certainly be worth taking this up with your landline provider.

If this happens to be Virgin there was an issue on the forum where Virgin landlines were unable to hear calls made from Vodafone mobiles but this should have been fixed by now.

the landline  is EE   the calls from my mobile come up in the call list    but the phone is not ringing   ( just from my mobile)

We know that the landline is not ringing, if you've got the option on your handset, does it display a missed call from your mobile? Also, as suggested by @AnnS, have you spoken with your landline provider?

thanks all      some how I had blocked my mobile number on my landline     I think it was on number range  as a  number  I had blocked was almost the same as my number .
