I have been tring unsuccessfully for weeks now to change our landline number and make it unlisted due to nuisance calls from mobile numbers all hours of the day and night.
I have been promised several times it is being sorted that day and nothing - I have also been told now that it cannot be changed as we are on fibre. Which is correct and why do they constantly change the information they give out.

With Vodafone is almost impossible to get a straight answer to anything, whoever you contact tells you what they think you want to hear, or they make something up. Why don't they just say, I don't know, and pass you to someone who does.
Could you not just disconnect the "landline" and rely on your mobiles, so many people do now.
