Does anyone know where the Port Forwarding option is on this router? I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find it.
I’ve looked at other similar routers online and they have it under security-virtual server or security-port forward. But it’s no where to be seen on the B528.
I have, however, found the option to enable UPnP and this has auto ported the UDP to my Xbox but not the TCP, still leaving me with a Strict NAT. (Although even after doing this I’ll end up with a Strict NAT, but a guys gotta try!) All help appreciated.

Hey @Didgey, have you tried downloading the Huawei Highlink app from your Playstore/ iPhone App Store and had a go at changing your settings through there?
As previously advised on another thread, the strict NAT type is being looked into and we appreciate your patience whilst we investigate.

Yes I’ve downloaded the App. It allows you to do very little with it other than check connected users and data usage.
So double checked the web access for the router and definately nothing there. 😔
Thanks for looking into this and my other issue. I’ll wait for an update.

You're welcome @Didgey - I'm sorry to hear the app wasn't helpful. Changing your DSN has helped a few users, so you could give that a try:
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Network
3. Go to Set Up Internet Connection
4. Select Wi-Fi/LAN depending on what you use to connect
5. Select Custom
6. IP Address Settings - Automatic
7. DHCP Host Name - Do Not Specify
8. DNS Settings - Manual Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8. Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4.

Yes, this has been done. All the usual things that can be done have been done.
Things that cant be done, like having a public IP and being able to actually port forward, they haven’t been done. Also, still no news on enabling IPv6, which should solve the NAT issues and need for Port Forwarding completely.
Vodafone should really be leading in this regard, but seem to be lagging behind instead.
I dont suppose theres been any updates as of yet?

No update as of yet @Didgey - it is still being investigated and we're working on getting a fix in place. Thanks so much for your patience, I know how inconvenient this all must be.

You are wasting your time. Anybody who tells you to change DNS settings has no idea what they are talking about. Port forwarding will not work directly over Vodafone's cellular network because Vodafone use CGNAT. This has nothing to do with your router or your DNS settings. Your WAN port is assigned a private IP address that is shared by many users. The IP address the outside world sees is is not mapped one to one with your WAN IP so there is no way an incomming connection can be made to your router.
Your only solution is a tunel which does allow port forwarding.

@vegtable Ok, what is a tunnel exactly and how do I get one? Everything else you said I agree with, but not heard of this item before.
