I recently obtained an Alpha 4g Camp Pro+ which is for accessing 4g from our motorhome. It comes with an antenna and a router. To test it I put the sim out of my contract phone in it. I simply cannot get it to work. I think there maybe a problem with the Alpha software on the router but I wanted to check that it could not be an issue with Vodafone blocking the sims usage in a data device such as this. Also I would like to confirm the settings. The only ones I have are
APN: either wap or wap.vodafone.co.uk
PAP/CHAP user name: wap
PAP/CHAP password: wap
There is also a field for dial number but its blank and one for pin but I have no pin on my phone.
So the questions are, could vodafone be blocking my sim in this device and are these settings the correct ones and do I need anything else?
