Hi folks, I have seen some past posts online concerning this particular unit, and long story short, since I've had a failed Gigafast upgrade, VF have provided a 4G MiFi portable hotspot R219 and data SIM to try to keep me connected - but it's a bit, well, lacking.
The R219 isn't really suitable for home working setup that out of preference uses wired connections to get best quality connections for web conferencing and the like - especially if you need to lead some sessions. In my area I find it drops out often, and data throughput is inconsistent. Also, if you have a smarthome setup, a max of 10 connections on a hotspot really won't do, and I've tried lots of configurations to try to keep that going. I was looking for affordable ways to tide me over until fibre restored, and on the face of it, similar technology from Huawei looked favourable, with an Ethernet connection.
I've kind of made it work with the B900-230 (AI Cube), but something odd happens. Despite looking and trying to change settings, every 48hrs the mobile broadband connection resets, and then for the next 12hrs you can only get 3G connectivity, until 4G/4G+ is restored (so effectively you have bouts of 36hours at the preferred speed). After a few weeks of this, it seems to happen like clockwork, but I have no idea why. Similarly if you restart, or power down, then it takes 12hrs to get 4G back - which has proved annoying in many morning meetings.
I know that the B900 has been packaged with Three before, and maybe not with VF, but the behaviour is odd to say the least. Not expecting any resolution to this now really, but would be helpful to know why this happens!
Best,

Having this issue too. I contacted support and there sending a new sim that apparently will work. Also emailed huawei. This happens on both a vodafone and voxi sim but all other networks work fine.
