Hi,

I have aq K5161Z zte dongle from vodaphone. I have never needed to purchase any data so it has run out. 

I've been looking online and It would appear I need my sim card number. I have seen some people suggest you remove the sim card and put it into a phone to find it.

It cannot be removed.

Very frustrating that I cannot find this meaning the product is now useless.

You would have needed to insert the SIM before use @DongleNightmare .  There is further information from device guides, the information would be exactly the same for the z device: Device Guides  

 

As far as the number is concerned, if you are able to install the device to the PC, this will come up on your dashboard. 

 

As with all PAYG SIM's they need to be kept active, if it's been more than 180 days since the last chargeable activity you may find the SIM has been removed from the network and you will need a replacement SIM for the device.
