Trying to change the bandwidth within the router's web interface but all the settings are currently locked by Super Wi-Fi. Getting the message: "Super Wi-Fi is running your Wi-Fi settings. Please use the Super Wi-Fi tile in the Home Broadband App to manage your settings."
Earlier, I was able to make changes to these settings however I was unable to connect the booster they had provided without using the home broadband app on mobile. I had tried pairing using WPS but it did not connect at all. The app was telling me to update firmware, so I did. App continued to ask for a firmware update even when the router was on latest version. One of the posts on the forums recommended a factory reset, so I did and now able to connect the booster. However, sacrifices have been made. To gain the ability to use a booster, I have now lost the ability to change the Wi-Fi settings.
Even when I'm on Expert mode within the web interface, I am unable to make the changes. I check the app as the message states and there's absolutely no changes you can make to the Wi-Fi apart from the SSID and password. This Super Wi-Fi is beginning to get Super Annoying!
I've been on chat with a Wi-Fi Xpert for the last hour and have come to a couple answers:
1. Wi-Fi Xperts have the same exact access as the user. If you are on Super Wi-Fi, the best they can do for you is restart your Fiber connection and do firmware updates. Not very Xpert-y in my opinion...
2. If you kind of know what you're doing and would like the freedom of making changes, it looks like your best option is to go for the most basic package with the desired speed and buy your own routers and boosters/extenders. Losing out on the Wi-Fi Xperts isn't really going to be a loss at all. They have the same capabilities as you do...
If anyone knows how to get rid of this Super Wi-Fi thing, please let me know. Paying more to be even more restricted is very disappointing...
