Morning All,
I don't know about any of you, but I'm starting to get really excited for the new F1 season which is just around the corner!
Forums I've used in the past have always had an F1 thread the members can use to talk about any news, upcoming races and so on, so now we have this off topic section, I thought I'd create one here too!
So, who do you follow and what are your hopes for the coming season?
I'm a die-hard McLaren fan, so am eagerly awaiting the new car launch on 4th February. From what the team were saying when I visited the MTC back in November, this should be a competitive year, so I'm hoping for Lewis to win his second championship.

Couple years ago Mclaren did a very good job of their kers system and they were one of the few teams then that used it. Hopefuly they can build on that experience this year.
Drag Reduction System, I like to call the 'floppy rear wing'
It onbly seems to make any difference on long straights which is not where the exiting overtakes happen so i don't think it's a major addition tbh.
For anyone who doesn't know this video should explain :smileyhappy:

As it's so close, I think Hamilton has a serious chance of victory tomorrow, well that's what I'm hoping for anyway!
Nice video Nabs, does explain things well. I look forward to DRS at somewhere like Spa- imagine being able to use it right from the first corner, down through Eau Rouge and along that massive straight at the back!

Red Bulls problem is that there shape is so tuned that there is no space to fit the KERS in properly without compromising what they are doing with the aerodynamics
Which leads to compromises with the KERS
The'll get it in the end once they figure out how to fit a square peg into an oval hole
Hamiltons pit stop was a curious one, he was doing well and there was no need to get him in that early,
the change in tyres killed his race

Whats peoples views on the potential News Corp bid for F1?
What effect do you think it would have should it go ahead?
Found this on bbc news some interesting points raised about how the sport must be broadcast. If news Corp did own F1 it would almost certainly move over to Sky. Would people still watch it?
