With so many posts complaining about the delay in activating SIM cards here is an experience to balance things a bit.
I decided to buy my grandson an iPad Air this morning so popped into the Worthing Vodafone store to get a PAYG data sim to get him started.
After a couple of minutes wait I was served by Oliver who sorted the sim I wanted and activated it in store. I wandered back to the car which took five minutes and stuck the sim in the iPad and within a minute of searching up popped Vodafone.
As I and many others have posted here time and time again, if you can get to a Vodafone store then that is going to be the most reliable and fastest way to get your sim up and running.
