Hello, will the WiFi 6E booster (OWA7111VDF) work with the WiFi 6 Power Hub (DGM4137VDF)?
Does anyone know what mesh protocol the different Vodafone boosters use, and which products are supposed to be compatible with each other?
I've read that the Vodafone WiFi 6 booster device GENIE01 isn't even compatible with the WiFi 6 Power Hub, is this true? If so, it's odd and confusing that Vodafone would provide all these mesh devices that don't work together (e.g. all Orbi devices are compatible regardless of generation, and the same is true for all Eero devices).

I'm not sure the Vodafone devices are a true mesh at all. They don't seem to mention it in their advertising (unless someone knows better) and they just refer to them as "boosters".
Just my personal opinion as Vodafone never seem release full specifications of their devices it's difficult to be sure.

On https://www.vodafone.co.uk/broadband/pro-ii-devices the WiFi 6E Booster is described as a "Advanced WiFi mesh design Increased reliability through a multiple-access point network."
This page is even more explicit: "WiFi mesh boosters, such as the Super WiFi Booster available to Vodafone Pro Broadband customers, work their magic using a technology called ‘mesh networking’. This tech is only a few years old, so such devices are easily confused with older wireless extenders and repeaters that use less sophisticated technology."
So the Vodafone site is clearly saying that the Booster is a real mesh network device and not just an extender/repeater. Of course, it is possible that the Vodafone site is wrong, but if so then it would be good to know and perhaps they can correct it.
If the booster were just a WiFi extender and not a true mesh device, then there would be even less reason for different boosters and hubs to be incompatible. Unlike mesh networks, WiFi extenders do not use any specific proprietary protocols to operate, so an extender from any manufacturer will work any WiFi access point.

Thanks for those links, they do indeed say the Ultra Hub and it's booster(s) are a mesh system.
However you are asking about using them with the Power Hub, so it's possible that is not built to the same specifications.
As the Power Hub is a more "cost effective" device designed to be issued to the basic user, it's possible it and it's "boosters" are not compatible with the Ultra Hub, otherwise why not use the same "booster/mesh node"?
It's good query you are asking, but I suspect nobody at Vodafone can officially answer it, so the forum members are unlikely to be sure.
When it comes to "mix and matching" the various generation devices it's definitely a "suck it and see" situation.
Do let us know if you can get ir working.😁
