As per title, I have searched the forum and online and can only come to the conclusion that there is a setting blocking it or a firmware issue, the logs show errors when I plug the bridge into the router but ones I have not been able to resolve myself.

.@kieran1232 Would you be able to copy the relevant log portion please?

There are already questions about the router's compatability with apple's bonjour device discovery (that Philips hue devices use) on the apple forums. There's two choices offered there - either ditch the router, or ditch the router. I know that's only one choice but what do you value the most, the vodafone router or the hue devices?

.@kieran1232 The images haven't been processed yet. We will have to wait a bit more.

.@kieran1232 OK we can see the log now.
vdfpnpd is a plug-and-play (or perhaps "pray") device error. It may have a name that is considered illegal. Networked TVs are known to do this, e.g. Samsung. Maybe that the Hue devices have a "bad" name?
chosen-sprite is a missing file (error 2 is the code for missing file) and that's nothing we can do anything about.
The next one is the firewall reporting an event, but I don't recognise the port numbers so I can't say what.
DHCPV6 is the new network protocol which VF do not support, so if you have it on anywhere try turning it off. The address is it aiming at is a multicast call for DHCP relays and servers.
The last item is just telling you that the local LAN is up and running at 100Mbps, which I would have expected to be 1000Mbps.
