Power Hub - Booster Question

Hi,  New to Vodafone after 20 years of BT and continues promises of full fibre since 2020... 

Anyway with BT we had 3 of their black wi-fi discs spread around the house and more importantly, one in the outbuilding/office.  All three were hard wired with cat6 cables from the main BT smart hub (switches) and worked great, even though our speeds were only around 30meg.

We have no got a Vodafone Power Hub and get around 900meg within the first 12 feet or so, this then drops to a dismal 500meg upstairs (joke, its still great).   Unfortunately my amazon firestick 4k get between 100 & 30meg in the lounge thats furthest from Power Hub and has buffered (like the old bt system) when only getting around 30 meg (UHD content)... I also can't get anything in the outside office & as the black BT discs won't work, even using the cat6 connection.

My question is, Ive been offered an Ultra Hub off a friend, along with the booster that came with it.... although i'm only on the full fibre 900 package with Vodafone, will...

a) the Ultra Hub work on my account? 

b) would the Booster that comes with the Ultra Hub work with my Power Hub? 

c) could I use the new Ultra Hub & Booster along with my Power Hub as an additional Booster?

Is there a better solution?  I like the fact the Ultra Hub won't cost me much.... I alsoI liked the simplicity of the BT Discs as you seamlessly connected to the strongest signal as you walked around the house/garden... hopefully I can achieve this with Vodafone.

Hello, @papaflump. I hope you're well.

I understand that you're looking to link a friend's Ultra Hub and booster to your service, to improve the connectivity throughout your home. However, your broadband will be provisioned to connect to the Vodafone router which was provided with your service, and so it wouldn't work if you were to plug in this additional router. 

When a booster is provided with a specific package, it is all activated on the account in question and is linked to a specific broadband service, which in this instance would be your friend's. Therefore, even if it's Vodafone branded, it would still be classed as a third-party booster and couldn't be managed through the Broadband App. 

You could connect a third-party booster, but I'm unable to provide any specific recommendations.
