I’ve recently purchased the Orbi mesh system, and wanted to use full router capabilities rather than in Bridge mode. I’ve got the V167 (130 no longer readily available).
set everything up based on consulting many different forums, and got my PPOE login from VF. I have FTTC service.
Checked Vigor 167 in modem only mode, and then ran the Orbi setup through the App. Once I get to the internet connection it doesn’t connect. I’ve checked on the modem admin login and the unit is receiving the DSL signal.
- is there any specific settings on the Orbi router specific to Vodafone broadband - VLAN set to 101
- any noted compatibility issues with Draytek Vigor 167 modem?
any feedback / pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Provided you have a UK spec Vigor 167 there should be no problem - Some of the versions for other EU countries will not work in the UK! I believe on the modem dashboard page if in the DSL Version box, it states HW: A, then it should work.
UK version of the modem should work out of the box with no settings changed (VLAN TAG is correctly pre-set on the modem).
On the Orbi router you should just need to use a PPPoE connection with the username and password in the following format:
***These are not my real log in details, do not delete the image***
The Orbi menu will look different, but the above is the minimum you need to get it up and running

hi, did you get this to work?
I've also got a Vigor167 and attempting to get it to work in modem-only mode with a Ubiquiti Dreamwall and sounds like I'm having similar issues to those you experienced. Any pointers much appreciated.
thanks!

Just as a follow up for anyone else who ends up here: I had to specify the VLAN TAG as 101 in the Vigor config, and crucially not set that in the router's PPPoE config. That solved the problem for me.
