I have two "smart life" devices and 2 "meros" and since two days they are not working anymore.
They suddenly appear offline in the respective apps and I'm not able to link them anymore. The devices are found but somehow cannot connect to the wifi. The same is tromegle ue for an ESP8266 I'm using.
I suspect there's something wrong with the wifi (Vodafone Kabel)xender , something changed, maybe the firmware of the router, i don't know.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks a lot.

Vodafone Kabel is a Vodafone Germany service.
You will need to speak to Vodafone Germany here https://forum.vodafone.de/ about this @oklahamas , the forum here is UK help and support.

Hi @oklahamas
Some generic troubleshooting would be to remove the devices / forget them and reset them back up.
Sometimes clearing the cache of apps and if absolutely necessary the data can help too.
I wish you all the best

While the ESP8266 hardware can access 2.4GHz channels from 1 to 14, its not uncommon that the firmware only enables channels 1 to 11. These chips get about a lot and in order not to infringe on local regulations the channels available are too often artificially limited - very common when using US spec devices in other countries. The simple fix is often to use a router that doesn't touch channels 12, 13, and 14 (pretty much just Japan on that last one).
