Switchover from TalkTalk UFO in York

Hi, has anyone made the switch from TalkTalk UFO 1Gig Broadband to the Vodafone 900 pro II service in York? 

Have been informed by TT that the UFO service will be ending shortly but haven’t yet been given an actual alternative quote. 
Someone on the TT support forum was told by Vodafone, the switch cannot be made despite the postcode checker suggesting otherwise. 
Can someone confirm/deny this please?

It rather depends on who is taking over the UFO infrastructure in your area. (assuming someone is, but maybe not)

If it is CtyFibre, then probably Vodafone will be able to use them, but until it has happened, I doubt anyone can tell you anything.

Have you tried the Vodafone checker yourself.

Thanks, yes I’d read that article & yes I have done a check but as I mentioned before someone else was told 48hrs after applying that he couldn’t for some reason.  Guessing the service isn’t available yet but the service checker hasn’t been updated. 
I’ll just have to wait a while longer & see what happens. It’s a great shame cos it was a good service for a good price. Something to do with the Huawei equipment changeover I think.

The thing is UFO was a trial which is coming to an end. What follows is anyone's guess.

Whatever Vodafone tells anyone, really has to be taken "with a pinch of salt".

Unless they give it in writing, never believe anything they say.
