I've only noticed it recently, but it may have been happening for some time. I cannot connect to any http sites (https are unaffected). I've done the usual of turning off firewalls, but it seems to come down to the router.
I have accessed the router (192.168.1.1), but it gives you limited options (I changed the DNS server but it not help).
Any suggestions?

That site works fine for me in Edge. I doubt the router is the problem, but you could try a factory reset.
Reset it from Settings - Configuration.

A lot of browsers have gone overboard in their security settings (should that read anal?). Chrome is the worst offender (a lot of that bleeds over into Windows Edge as well)
I can't actually help you with the browser setting other than suggesting you have a look at your browser's settings.
Also check the settings on your vodafone account, although nothing should change without your input.
Check everything you may have changed recently.

I've tried chrome, firefox, edge and even seamonkey the http sites are blocked.
I have not changed any settings recently (or ever really).

Presumably you can access the router http://192.168.1.1/ .
If so, it's not your device or browser.
What message, if any, do you get?
Edit: Oops, you already said you can access the router.

As an example I have tried the following site
http://lunar-occultations.com/iota/planets/1208mars.htm
After about 3 minutes the following comes up...
Connection Interrupted
The document contains no data.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
(This was on seamonkey)

It had to be the router. I have 3 other laptops (of various antiquities) and none would connect to http sites.
Surprisingly the factory reset did the trick (wonder what happened). Anyway the problem is RESOLVED.

Glad I was wrong in this instance.
