I topped up with £10 credit, but it seems to have just disappeared without my knowledge as to how it's gone. Therefore I can only make emergency calls only on my phone at the moment. I hadn't even sent a text or made any phone calls. How did this happen...?

Are you on Payg1 or the Big Value Bundle tariff is the first question @AnnMarie66
Your myvodafone should show which.
If your still unsure then customer service on 191 or Live Chat can access your account and advise where your credit has gone to.
And the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries can help.
