I've read conflicting information about how much personal information/ID must be provided to activate Vodafone PAYG sims in the UK.
Vodafone support told me "KYC requirements apply to all types of SIM cards, including PAYG. Even if you only need the SIM to receive texts for 2-factor authentication, you would still need to complete the KYC process."
Other sources suggest that this isn't necessary for PAYG plans. I wouldn't be able to complete KYC for a few weeks and I need the sim working before that.
If anyone could provide clarity on whether or not KYC is enforced before a PAYG sim can be used I would be grateful.
