Voicemail

Today (12th Jan 2023) I received a voicemail from someone who knew my parents (now deceased) but they didn't leave their mobile number.

When I use the option to call them back I get "unable to connect right now".

I've saved the message but is any way to get their mobile number?

Understand this must be extremely important for you @tickmatrix 

If the call went to voicemail the number won't have been logged in your call history.   It may be they withheld the number or don't have any signal at this time to enable a connection.

Hopefully, they will call again or you will be able to return the call later.

This morning I was left a voicemail from the doctors surgery

and, as before, when I use the option to call them back I get "unable to connect right now".

Is this because I'm using a PAYG "Big Bundle"?

I would really like to call the lady back who knew my deceased parents before the voicemail is erased by vodefone.

Can anyone at vodafone help?

We understand how concerning this must be @tickmatrix, especially when trying to return an important phone call. I would recommend heading over to our 'What should I do if I can’t make or receive calls or texts?' Help & Support web page. 

Just a side note, your Pay as You Go Bundle shouldn't affect your ability to make phone calls. As advised on the above Help & Support web page, if you’re on one of our £10+ Pay as You Go Bundles or our Pay as You Go 1 plan, you’ll have unlimited calls and texts. However, if you’re on one of our older plans, you may have run out of credit or used all your allowances.

at the end of my voicemail I get option 55 to call them back I get "unable to connect right now".

This appears to be the same for all my voicemail.

just to clarify, this shouldn't happen?

so how can I get this fixed?

I'll also post on  'What should I do if I can’t make or receive calls or texts?' although not sure if this has anything to do with my issue.

I completely understand that you're unable to return the call(s) directly through your voicemail inbox @tickmatrix, but to make sure that we're on the same page, are you able to dial and call the number(s) in general?

yes my big bundle is up-to-date and I can text and make phone calls

the only thing I can't do is option 55 to call back the person who leaves the voicemail.
