mobile hotspot compatability

I am planning 2 trips to Europe this year. If I purchase a Mobile hotspot device from Vodafone Portugal on my first trip can I buy a data sim from Vodafone UK for the device on my second trip.

You may find the device you buy in Portugal is locked to that Network so it wouldn't accept a Vodafone UK Sim Card.

Even tho different countries share the Vodafone Name they are not linked.

So please check with the shop before purchasing and ask about the criteria to meet if it does need unlocking.

Or buy one that is definitely unlocked to all networks or buy one from VodafoneUK @ttryon556

You will have roaming included in your tariff where you will be able to use your inclusive data in the EU.

 

I would suggest you purchase the device from Vodafone UK before you leave for your trip and enjoy using your UK allowance in Europe.
