I have a tablet that has a sim slot. I know I can share data etc with onenumber but that is normally done through an esim. 
If I took out onenumber, would I be able to get it assigned to a physical sim so that I can share my unlimited data with my tablet?

I wouldn't think so in regards to Vodafone OneNumber as that's to share allowances with a smartwatch or alexa.

For your tablet you would require a data sim or use any available hotspot feature to tether your tablet to your phone to use your data allowance. 

More data allowance maybe use this way and the battery on your phone may deplete faster.
