Switching to Vodafone

I’m switching my daughters number from 3 to Vodafone and the new phone is getting delivered tomorrow. It’s saying it will switch tomorrow but the phone is for her birthday which isn’t until next week. If the number switches tomorrow [Removed] can I then just switch the sim next week into the new phone?

When the PAC activates and the number starts to move @ricky6 , there won't be anything that can be done to stop the process.  Unfortunately, this means your Daughter's number be on Vodafone from tomorrow.  

Other than an early birthday present, you can still give your Daughter the new phone next week.

If the number moves early, just pop the Vodafone sim into her current handset before then switching it again into the new phone next week. (assuming the current handset isn't locked to 3)
