Unrealistic billing by Vodafone Turkey

Hello Community,

I need your help about a bill delivered to my mom by Vodafone Turkey after 2 days usage of her phone abroad.

According to  Red All-included standard abroad package prices declared by the Vodafone Turkey (https://www.vodafone.com.tr/VodafoneRoaming/red-tarifeleri-icin-her-sey-dahil-pasaport.php), abroad usage (outside of Turkey) 50 TL/day. And apprx 5 TL/min for inbound/outbound calls.

She used this package just 2 days, at most 4 or 5 calls in total and each at most 30 secs. And never opened the mobile data. I'm sure because I made all the settings and I talked to her in these calls.

And as she returned to Turkey yesterday, she instantly received an SMS saying that her bill amount reached to 600 TL. (Normally she pays 44 TL per month for a standard package)

This is insane. And I know that too many people complaining about this similar billing amounts when they used their lines abroad.

Yeah, I know you are saying that I must ask to Vodafone Turkey. But I'm sure I never get a pardon form them. So I thought better to ask their bosses in Europe and/or UK.

You are correct @h_azy , you will need to speak to Vodafone Turkey, the forum here is UK help and support only. Vodafone Turkey is a different company.

 

If your Mother speaks to her service provider, Vodafone Turkey, they will have the necessary account access and will help with the billing enquiry.

We welcome all questions here on the Vodafone UK Community Forum as we can always help with generalized questions.

If a person receives a billing charge they were not expecting or believe that said charge is wrong then definitely question this.

As your particular issue is going to need account access which the Uk Vodafone Social Media Teams here cannot achieve as this is a Vodafone Account in another country then the account holder is going to need to speak with Vodafone Customer services of your region to ask them to investigate the billing and provide clarification.

Although different regions use the Vodafone name they are not linked.
