Hello,
I have recently relocated to the UK. While still in the process of setting up various things, I encountered multiple errors when attempting to establish a contract with Vodafone through their website.
During a chat session with an agent, I was informed that they are unable to conduct credit checks on Starling bank accounts, thus preventing them from setting up a contract for customers using Starling bank accounts. Is this even legal?
Did anyone have a similar experience or a way to solve this?

Hey Kate, we don't deal with the credit approval side here but apparently Starling bank don't report to credit reference agencies. This means we can't run affordability checks which we are required to do as we're regulated by the FCA. I'd recommend creating an account with one of main highstreet banks and attempt again.
