Apple Watch family sharing

Spent the last 2 days trying to set up my sons Apple Watch with esim on one number under family sharing and nothing works. Have spoken to numerous advisors who can’t get it to work. I purchase the watch and data plan from Vodafone for my sons for Xmas. Has anyone had success as only been able to find the same issues in here

Vodafone UK has discontinued Vodafone Family Sharing > What-is-Vodafone-Family-and-how-does-it-work. 

However they do still offer Vodafone One Number that allows an eligible watch to connect and share the airtime and data connection > OneNumber. 

As this is account based which access isn't available via the forum I'd suggest to persevere with customer services snd the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM here.
