eSIM After iPhone Reset

Hi,

Just joined Vodafone and interested in moving to an eSIM. What would happen if I reset my iPhone after swapping to eSIM? Got a bit of OCD and like to reset the phone after big updates... what would the process be to reinstall the eSIM?

Thanks in advance.

Reset as in a factory reset  ?

This shouldn't affect the esim as far as I'm aware @paulcymru however you may have to go through the set up process again.

A Google Search brings up similar advice.

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, talking about a factory reset.

Google results seem to suggest you're correct, so thank you!

I learnt this the hard way a few days ago, a factory reset and starting fresh won't restore your esim, I'm unsure of how it works with restoring a phone backup.

You won't be able to reactivate your esim using the old QR code, its one time only.

You have to request the old sim to be reactivated or sent a new sim in the post and go through the esim process again.
