I have a new Pixel 7pro but according to Vodaphone website it won't do 4G calling. Surely this can't be right.
Is there an indicator that shows what 'G' i am logged into?

If I enter my IMEI number it says it is compatible, and indeed it does work for the Pixel 7 Pro. Are you entering IMEI1?

Have you tried making a call? Does your phone stay on 4G?

Tried it several times. Using IMEI 1 but every time says "not compatible"
I wonder whether I have a duff phone which I bought from Amazon.

It could just be that Vodafone are slow at updating the database.
Have you got a Vodafone SIM in the phone and made a call?

I have exactly the same issue on my new Pro 7. When I put the IMEI number in the vodafone 4g calling checker it says it's not compatible.

@BASKANOS - Did you purchase the phone directly from us or is it from a third party?

I bought it from Google via their online store

@BASKANOS - thanks for confirming this. I'm sorry we're unable to confirm the service will be available on devices purchased from third parties.

So I'll be stuck with 2g calling? Is there no patch or update from you that could fix it?

If that's is the information Vodafone are giving you @BASKANOS they are telling you a pile of nonsense, I would say something different but I am much too polite, Vodafone can't change any of the software for Google devices in the same way as they can't change anything for Apple devices and it wouldn't make any difference where the device was purchased.
Vodafone are effectively trying to force customers into purchasing a phone direct from the network and paying premium prices and it's something the regulator should be aware of.
@Gemma Surely you can give customers a better response. Vodafone can't go telling customers in order to use 4G calling the phone has to be purchased through Vodafone. There are many customers who purchase a Android device through a third party site or direct from the manufacturer.
