I have never been able to send sms messages, I've had 3 new phones over the years so it's not a handset issue. I've no bars in place, the correct message centre number, I've tried numerous different messaging types, I'm on a contract btw. Vodafone have spent ages both remotely and in store and noone knows what the reason is. It's been years!
