Fairphone 4 no 5g

I picked up a fairphone 4 5g as I had to return my vodafone bought phone (theres still a compl, aint oopen but thats another story)

Although n78 is supported and its set to 5g preferred I'm getting no 5g anywhere.

I called voda and was told to go to the supplier - I've had loads of "non supported" 5g phones and got 5g fine

Any thoughts?

Is 5G selected in somewhere similar to Settings and connections @idi0tic  ?

Vague I know sorry but I've not used that phone and that's where the setting typically is.

If Vodafone don't supply the phone they'll fall back on the advice that they can't offer support for a phone they don't supply.

Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

Along with @BandOfBrothers advice - Have you checked that the areas you've been in so far have 5G coverage @idi0tic? This can be checked in our network status checker

Hi yes, I've been in many sreasof Southampton that I know have good coverage.

The phone is set tp 5g preferred and the sim came from my z fold 3 (and my lenovo legion, nubia redmagic, pixel 5) all of which worked fine

The phone supports n78 and I have followed all the advice of your technical support

Vodafone like to disable 5G and restrict speeds on many of their plans. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Have you done the obvious and confirmed that 5G is enabled on your account?

EDIT: Never mind, you said 5G works when using the sim on a z fold 3.

Yeah had it checked this morning through a senior engineer

Thank you for confirming that @idi0tic - Just to rule out the possibility of the SIM being the issue, could you try your SIM in another device that is 5G compatible?

It's the same SIM that's worked fine. I will do it though
