Is there a date for the OTA MIUI 12.5 update for the Mi11 please?

In regards to firmware updates not controlled by Vodafone then I'd suggest to Google Search i.e stable-miui-12-5-update-for-the-xiaomi-mi-11-ultra-pro/  and or speak with the manufacturer @kagriffiths

Never buy a non Apple phone from a network.

Apple would never allow networks to do this, and the networks accept it, so why is it ok for Android?

Looks like Vodafone have finally let Xiaomi release 12.5.1 for the Mi 11 Ultra.

Possibly because Android is open source and thus has different elements added along the way @chistery 

I only buy my Samsung phone's from Samsung.

So an android update could break something that the Networks offer.

iOS is made by Apple exclusively for Apple products thus nothing is added by other sources or networks as Apple won't allow it. 

The networks don't have to allow for different iterations of the new iOS update as no outside source can change it.

So the Network's I believe have early access to the new iOS to test.
