Network dropping out on new Google Pixel 8a and doesn't automatically come back

Hello,

I recently upgraded to a Google Pixel 8a and love the phone, but I've noticed some network issues.

The network (Vodafone) seems to drop out in areas that it hasn't previously. For example, in my work I've never had any issues with having 5G Vodafone but now I get regular drop outs. On top of that, when it drops out it doesn't automatically come back on when network should be fine. I often to have to either take out the sim card and put it back in, or reset the mobile network settings, to kick it back into 5G and a decent signal. My previous phone was a Google Pixel 6a.

I mean, it clear isn't a network signal issue as when I do ether or both of the fixes I get the signal back. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or should I take it into a local store to look at?

Thanks

Lee

I’m having the same problem with my Pixel 8a. Network keeps dropping out when I’m in an area where I should be getting 5G. It’s annoying to have to keep turning off and on the mobile network settings or taking out and putting back the sim card just to get the network to return. Is there anything that we can do to fix this?

I'm sorry to hear you both having issues with your phones staying connected @LDHArv and @Phillips32. If you're having no issues reconnection, or when using another handset, it sounds like the issues connected to the handsets. If you pop into your local stores, they'll be happy to take a look, offer some advice, and if there is an issue we can send it off for repair 😊
