One plus 11 5g calling

Hi,

Does anyone know if the new one plus 11 is compatible with the Vodafone 5g network. Will it actually use 5g for calling and data or would it be stuck on the 2g network for calls?

Its not clear from the website and I haven't got an IMEI number to check either (as I've not bought one).

As long as a phone has 5G capabilities and a person is on a Vodafone Tariff that includes 5G and a person is in a 5G catchment area then 5G should work.

Vodafone UK uses 3500mhz band N78 so both uses the same 5G band as far as I can see.

It's unlikely Vodafone would be able to guarantee 5G would be working on One Plus devices @Karl1987 

Due to a software issue with OnePlus devices there were previous isssues accessing the 5G network on the Vodafone network., this was related to the 7 Pro, although going back to 2019 there is a thread here https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly/5G-in-London-using-a-OnePlus-7-pro-5G/td-p/2644774.  If you take a look at the OnePlus Community, there is further information available.

As far as calls are concerned with 5G being for data and internet access as mentioned here Vodafone 5G you would need a 4G connection for 4G calling VoLTE.   There is further information on 4G calling here: 4G calling

Thank you. The issue with that 4g link you posted I'd that I need a IMEI number to check and I don't want to buy a phone just to find out it's not compatible.

If the phone supports data calling, 4G calling should follow. @Karl1987

The Oppo is a sister company to the OnePlus and the same settings may work.

Unfortunately, with the device not being supported by Vodafone, there is no guarantee the features will work.
