Onenumber Smartwatch not receiving Messages

Hi. I have an LTE Galaxy Classic 4, signed up to Onenumber - everything looks fine online in the account settings.

However, when the watch is operating on its own, it's capable of receiving phonecalls - but no typical App notifications (like I get when it's on Bluetooth) get through. Also, no actual SMS messages can be received.

Anyone got any ideas?

(FWIW, this it whilst the phone is turned off in a drawer elsewhere - surely it doesn't need to be ON, for a paid-up 4G watch to work independently?)
