new fone/sim

hey guys

had to renew my alcatel android as screen was broke and the fone froze, however i have a pay as u go contract with vodafone so im guessing when i swap the sim over i would beable to carry on , oh dear it didnt transfer all my data over via the sim any advice?

When you sign in to Google on the new device, choose the option to retore your data from Google and you'll find that as much as possible will be there.   Anything stored on your Google account (eg contacts, pictures, calendar) will still be there.   It should also reinstall your apps, including any data they save to Google backup.

Recently purchased new iPhone and transferred from EE to Vodafone. I gave them the pac code to transfer the old number to my new SIM.

They told me the number would be transferred today. This seems to be half true, as the old number has been deactivated, however the new SIM card still uses the new number.

Is there a good way to get in contact with someone from Vodafone that doesn’t involve typing to a bot. I’ve rang 191 and been put in a queue only to be kicked when I was next in line. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @shimganar! Number transfers can take up until midnight to fully complete, however if your old EE number is now disconnected, you might need to update the settings in your iPhone if this is still showing as your old number.

Please go to Settings > Phone > My Number, then delete the number showing there and re-type the correct number. Once you've done this, restart your phone and you should be good to go 🙂
