Under wi-fi settings on my old N9 I have an option to turn on / off wi-fi calling. i now have an N10 and the option does not appear. As I don't get a mobile signal where I live I am unable to make calls.

There maybe some help in wi-fi-calling and via Asking the Vodafone Customer Services agent to force the phone via sending an OTA configuration update that should provision your phone for Calling Over WiFi.
"Register for Vodafone Wi-Fi Calling
Text the word CALLING to 97888
This is a free text which will add the service to your account
You should receive the following confirmation text:
Thanks. We’ll add Wi-Fi Calling to your account in the next 24 hours and will let you know when you’re all set up.
If you’d like to discuss this with us, or if you have any other issues, you can find more info here or contact us
Once you receive the confirmation text, switch on Wi-Fi Calling in your settings
Go to Settings, scroll down and choose the Application icon
Choose Phone and scroll down until you see Wi-Fi Calling – select the box beside this option
A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm if you want to enable Wi-Fi Calling – tap OK"
Live Chat can check your account just to make sure Calling Over Wi-Fi is still activated.

Thanks for that. if I put my sim back in the old phone I can make wi-fi calls so i guess my account allows it already. As i get no signal at home the new phone is useless at the moment. Tried looking at the link before - no help I'm afraid. Will try calling for help tomorrow.

You're very welcome @tonyfitzgibbon
Yes so your account is set up as needed.
See if the agent can push the settings to the phone OTA as suggested and hopefully that'll work and check there are no software updates in the phone too.

Took me three attempts to get someone at Vodafone to send the settings to my P40 Lite 5G, but I'm not clear on what exactly I need to ask for to make it clearer for them. An OTA update to enable it? a SIM update? A provisioning update? Most agents in tech support don't seem to know what to do so would help if I knew exactly what it was I was asking them to do.
Oh, and then a did a reset and it's gone again, might hold off calling as I will probably be resetting it again soon.
