Location Icon Samsung Phone

I've had this set to "On", but I would never use the phone as a GPS devise.
So to ask the obvious, am I losing/gaining anything by switching it off?

Some apps work better with location On such as maps etc and I like to keep such settings on in regards to being able to locate my phone if its lost etc.

Battery drain in my experience is negligible.

Thanks, very good point about having it switched on in case of lose.

I'll turn mine back on!
