Hi, I am unable to connect to the internet with Vodafone PAYG on my generic Chinese smartphone (Star N9599). I have used the APN settings on the websaite, but still no joy. Can you help please? Many thanks.

If the settings do not work, Vodafone would be unable to give you any help. Its not a phone which Vodafone support.
Being a Chinese copy the phone may not support the frequencies of the network or have an unsupported IMEI.

Thanks for your reply. This is odd because this phone is a direct replacement from the Chinese supplier for a phone which worked O.K. for about a week and then completely died. In the week when it worked it was possible to connect to the Vodafone PAYG network.....

If you’re using the same settings you used before and they worked, it’d indicate and issue with the phone.
The settings should be:
APN – pp.vodafone.co.uk
Username - wap
Password - wap
