Hi
I've updated my S7 edge to nougat but the AOD seems to be draining my battery literally a % per minute
Has anybody got any advice for this - its a shame as there a lot more notifications now I've updated to 7
Thank you in advance

Is that the full screen shot ? Ie nothing under the playstore stats.
Looking at other forums I use people are either saying their battery stats are lots better or lots worse. Appreciate we all have different set ups and apps.
Using a dark theme is known to save on battery too.
I'm aware the aod was enhanced to mirror what the Note 7 had i.e showing more notifications so maybe it's that and a patch will be forthcoming.
What I'd do is clear the system cache and give the phone a few days to properly settle.

I can see @BandOfBrothers mentioned that there are different options to choose from to show the information in different formats.
Have you tried selecting the different options to see if it makes a difference to the battery life?

Hi ChazD
I'll try a few different faces and see how this fares.
Thanks

I've just updated to 7.0 and keep my AOD turned on.
It maybe that the enhanced version that shows more notifications maybe the culprit for you.
I'll keep an eye on mine.
I was on 100% at 5am this morning.
I have been using the phone for surfing etc s d then noticed the update was available at 9:45. Updated which took 15 minutes and since then have been playing around with the new settings and surfing.
It's just gone 14:00 And I'm on 72%

So on the simplest settiing i.e. small time / date / battery % it's gone down 4% in 10 mins!!

Hmmmm something's not right.
As said previously it should be approx 1% an hour.
If clearing the system cache and optimising the phone using the feature in the phone isn't working along with a factoryreset id personally try a Google search to see if there is anything in blogs or other forums that may help.
Samsung UK are available on Twitter. It's worth tweeting them or using the contact us on Samsung's home page.
That or turn AOD off and await a possible patch.
