Hi,.. whilst buying something on Amazon I noticed they have loads of apps and games.would this be classed as sideloading or is safe to use.

 

And would it void any warranty on your device.

Downloading Apps not from the sanctity of the Playstore is sideloading. 

You’ll know if you have the trusted sites only toggled On and your not able to download an item. 

Sideloading does not void the manufacturing warranty @DRUIDDOODE

Instead what your sideloading hasn’t been vetted.

Thanks BANDOFBROTHERS after that I wouldn't risk it if they have not been vetted.

 

If they are not checked I would bet that some of the apps have all sorts of unwanted files.

 

If they go out of there way to put them in the playstore I don't see why they wouldn't put them in there,although getting them in the playstore would be more of a challenge in hiding the code.

AFAIK, the Amazon appstore feeds their devices that use a version of Android but don't have access to Google Play.   I'd be inclined to assume they vet apps pretty carefully as they're very protective of their brand reputation.  However, as usual: caveat emptor :Winking_smiley:
